The Cubs pulled out a win in the bottom of the 9th yesterday, when Christopher Morel drove in Cody Bellinger to walk it off. The Pirates were undoubtedly displeased about the controversial ending, as it looked like Bellinger had been tagged out, but catcher Joey Bart then dropped the ball after pulling it out of his glove.
That was the only run of the game, as Shota Imanaga was NAILS once again for the Cubs. He set a new ERA record in the process, about which we’ll have much more to say.
