Position Matchups for Texas A&M Football vs Miami

Tyler Schisel first reported the news for Wisconsin Sports Heroics:

The Green Bay Packers had a meeting with Edgerrin Cooper, an All-American linebacker, before the NFL Combine and the Draft. Cooper had a four-year tenure at Texas A&M and declared for the draft in December. Cooper, a 4-star recruit according to ESPN and 247 Sports, joined Texas A&M after being heavily recruited from Covington High School.

During his senior year in 2023, Cooper played in 12 games for the Aggies and recorded a total of 609 snaps. He had 58 tackles, 17 assists, and 56 stops, which was a decent performance. As a pass rusher, Cooper made 27 total pressures, which included 12 QB hurries, 5 QB hits, and 10 sacks. Overall, Cooper had an impressive performance in his senior year.

At the Shrine Bowl, all 32 teams had a chance to meet with Cooper. Currently, he is expected to be drafted in the 2nd to 4th round, but his draft position could change depending on his performance in events like the NFL Combine and any Pro Days he decides to participate in.

The Packers will focus heavily on the defense side of the ball and will meet with most defensive players who fit the mold of their team.
